Who am I?

I'm a 20 something year old girl just trying to navigate life. I am gay, and I am Autistic.

I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, which is an Autism Spectrum Disorder. I primarily identify as Austistic, but I use Aspie sometimes. I like referring to myself as Autistic because I love inclusive language, and I love the Autistic community.

For various significant reasons, I'm not out to my family yet as a gay person. So I don't use my true name on this blog and unfortunately I won't be able to post any pictures (which is shame, because I love picture posts).

I am an advocate. I'm an advocate for the Autistic community and an advocate for the LGBTQ community. This blog with mostly center around queer issues and Autism issues, because that encompasses so much of my life and experience.

I am also spiritual, artistic, musical, a poet, a perfectionist, a dreamer, a hope(ful) romantic, and a Jesus lover. I love Jesus because He came for the outcasts, the marginalized, the minorities, and the disabled. I also love my cat, Starbucks, Bach, sunsets, bright nail polish, Burt's Bees, leaves that crunch when I step on them, brownie sundaes, snowflakes, cumulus clouds, rainbows, and the Big Dipper.

Things I dislike: mustard, pickles, mushrooms, dog slobber, being stuck in the rain without an umbrella, bananas the color of giraffes, crustiness on the ketchup cap, mutilated butter, thunder that shakes the house, and bumps in the night.

This blog is my place to educate, advocate, share, and vent. I'm thankful that you've decided to be part of my journey.

Blessings to you, and so much love.
